Whetstone for home use series is designed for ease of daily use at home. Two different grinding whetstones are combined to sharpen Japanese knives easily for everybody. This is the combination of the Middle grinding (Abrasion of big scratch and smoothing blade tip) and the Finishing grinding(Abrasion of all scratch and sharpening blade). Just turning it over to change the grit number.

How to choose the grit number of Whetstone

There are three kinds of whetstones.

  1. Rough grinding whetstone (#200-#400)
    Repair for nicks and shape
  2. Middle grinding whetstone (#800-#1200)
    Abrasion of big scratch and smoothing blade tip
  3. Finishing grinding whetstone(#3000-#10000)
    Abrasion of all scratch and sharpening blade

Middle grinding whetstone will suffice for home use and additionally finishing grinding whetstone.
